Local Businesses Connect Stone County Students to ‘Futures’

A week’s worth of CTE Month celebrations in Stone County culminated in a career and college fair in February that helped students plan their futures after high school.

The district’s third annual Tomcats’ Futures Week began with interactive presentations by local businesses and industry leaders and ended with the Futures Expo. Throughout the week, students engaged with potential employers, explored career paths, learned about job openings, and spoke with college and university representatives.

The expo was supported by the Stone County Economic Development Partnership and numerous community volunteers.
