Amory Culinary and Tourism Students Tour Oxford

Amory Career and Technical Center’s Culinary I, Culinary II, and Tourism and Hospitality classes traveled to the University of Mississippi Gertrude Ford Center on Dec. 6 to view the Holiday Village Gingerbread exhibit. While the classes were waiting to begin their tour, actress Mary Haskell, who is married to Amory native Sam Haskell, read Christmas books to the children and posed for photos with students. After touring the exhibit, the group traveled to Holli’s Sweet Tooth, an Oxford candy shop. Amory culinary students recently participated in the 10-year tradition of exhibiting gingerbread creations at the Amory Municipal Museum. The tourism class is taught by Chris Pace, and the culinary classes are taught by Dianne Young.
